Planners are not often in the spotlight in their community (unless there's a problem!). Yet they are key to making our towns, cities, and counties better places to live and work. Last Summer, I spent six weeks visiting with dozens of planners -- citizen planners and professional planners -- as I travelled across the U.S. on Route 50. This photo gallery is designed to express my thanks, and to give some visibility, to the role planners play.
